experienced, senior-level editor for a womens lifestyle website that
takes an accessible, down-to-earth approach to beauty, style, home and
family topics. It offers easy-to-implement solutions for women who lead
busy lives.

Responsibilities include:

* Developing monthly editorial lineups
* Assigning and managing experienced freelance writers in the womens
lifestyle sector
* Maximizing all content for SEO
* Line editing and copyediting
* Writing heds and deks
* Potential to manage editorial aspects of global sites
* Working with an editorial team on revisions until content meets
requirements

The ideal candidate would:

* Have 5+ years experience in the consumer publishing womens lifestyle
market.
* Be a skilled features editor.
* Be highly organized and locked down.
* Be able to meet weekly content delivery deadlines.
* Have experience editing online content; knowledge of SEO and social
networking best practices.
* Have experience assigning in this category.
* Work off-site on a part-time freelance basis.
* Understand the nuances of online publishing.
* Be able to manage process from start to finish.
* Be a flexible, creative problem solver.
